PCI Compliance
PCI Compliance is a hot topic in credit card processing currently. If you are new to the concept is sounds like a complex process that will take time, effort, and money to get, but in reality it is pretty simple.
PCI comes for the basic idea that how something is done can be standardized across industries to help reduce financial loss and confusion. Many things your company already does are standardized. Payroll, accounting, and taxes are all done in fairly similar ways in many different industries across the US. PCI Compliance is done so that everyone takes credit cards in a standard, best practices way to help reduce fraud and financial loss.
Becoming PCI compliant is simple with IMS. After being approved for your merchant account you will be asked to complete a survey about how you are processing credit cards. After you complete the survey you will be issued your PCI Certificate. If after reviewing your survey there are some practices that need improvement you will be notified. Once these changes are in place, you will redo the survey and upon passing your PCI Certificate will be issued to you.
